I Follow My King

I followed my king to a war in a far southern land
Where men said he should prove his throne
I stood with my king and was ready to strike them all down
But my king stood tall a reached out and took sword of his own
And as we departed he said to me there, before warring and feud could begin
If I am afraid to be beaten, then where is the pride when I win

In word and deed I follow my king, the wisest among us and fair
In word and deed I follow my king, the wisest among us and fair

I followed my king to the door of a vigilant squire
But a guardsman stood and barred the way
I stood with my king and was ready to strike the man down
But my king stood tall and reached out and shook hands at the gate
And as we departed he said to me there, before warring and feud could begin
If I won't clasp hands with a neighbor, then how can I ask it of him

In word and deed I follow my king, the wisest among us and fair
In word and deed I follow my king, the wisest among us and fair

I followed my king from his place at the mead hall's high seat
Where the hungry sat in grim array
I stood with my king and was ready to strike the cook down
But my king stood tall and reached out and shouldered a tray
And as we departed he said to me there, before warring and feud could begin
If I could not serve in the kitchen, then how could I serve them as king

In word and deed I follow my king, the wisest among us and fair
In word and deed I follow my king, the wisest among us and fair
In word and deed I follow my king, the wisest among us and fair

Kyrie Eleison

Empty, broken here I stand - Kyrie eleison
Touch me with your healing hand - Kyrie eleison
Take my arrogance and pride - Kyrie eleison
Wash me in your mercies tide - Kyrie eleison

Kyrie eleison, Christe eleison, Kyrie eleison

When my faith has all but gone - Kyrie eleison
Give me strength to carry on - Kyrie eleison
When my dreams have turned to dust - Kyrie eleison
In you, Oh Lord, I put my trust - Kyrie eleison

Kyrie eleison, Christe eleison, Kyrie eleison

When my heart is cold as ice - Kyrie eleison
Your love speaks of sacrifice - Kyrie eleison
Love that sets the captives free - Kyrie eleison
Oh pour compassion down on me - Kyrie eleison

Kyrie eleison, Christe eleison, Kyrie eleison

You're the voice that calms my fears - Kyrie eleison
You're the laughter dries my tears - Kyrie eleison
You're my music, my refrain - Kyrie eleison
Help me sing your song again - Kyrie eleison

Kyrie eleison, Christe eleison, Kyrie eleison

Humble heart of holiness - Kyrie eleison
Kiss me with your tenderness - Kyrie eleison
Jesus faithful friend and true - Kyrie eleison
All I am, I give to you - Kyrie eleison

Kyrie eleison, Christe eleison, Kyrie eleison
Kyrie eleison, Christe eleison, Kyrie eleison

He Will Listen

When the weight of this world crashes down on you
God will listen to you
When the sky turns black and your thoughts turn blue
He will listen to you

He will listen to you, always listen to you
He understands how his children feel
God will listen to you

When the river of tears cannot be contained
God will listen to you
You're like a drowning man in the pouring rain
He will listen to you

He will listen to you, always listen to you
He understands how his children feel
God will listen to you

When the light explodes in a world gone wrong
God will listen to you
When your heart beats strong with a grateful song
He will listen to you

He will listen to you, always listen to you
He understands how his children feel
God will listen to you

Perhaps Love

Perhaps love is like a resting place
A shelter from the storm
It exists to give you comfort
It is there to keep you warm
And in those times of trouble
When you are most alone
The memory of love will bring you home

Perhaps love is like a window
Perhaps an open door
It invites you to come closer
It wants to show you more
And even if you lose yourself
And don't know what to do
The memory of love will see you through

Oh, Love to some is like a cloud
To some as strong as steel
For some a way of living
For some a way to feel

And some say love is holding on
And some say letting go
And some say love is everything
And some say they don't know

Perhaps love is like the ocean
Full of conflict, full of pain
Like a fire when it's cold outside
Thunder when it rains
If I should live forever
And all my dreams come true
My memories of love will be of you

And some say love is holding on
And some say letting go
And some say love is everything
Some say they don't know

Perhaps love is like the ocean
Full of conflict, full of pain
Like a fire when it's cold outside
Or thunder when it rains
If I should live forever
And all my dreams come true
My memories of love will be of you

I Dreamed a Dream

There was a time when men were kind
When their voices were soft
And their words inviting
There was a time when love was blind
And the world was a song
And the song was exciting
There was a time
When it all went wrong

I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving
Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung, no wine untasted

But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hope apart
And they turn your dream to shame

He slept a summer by my side
He filled my days with endless wonder
He took my childhood in his stride
But he was gone when autumn came

And still I dream he'll come to me
That we will live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather

I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I'm living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream I dreamed.

A Life Well Spent

Come, my brother, heed your Saviour
Come while there's light in your sky
Christ has called you, He will save you
Come to His bleeding side
While there's time

Do you see the light of a life well spent
Feel the power of courage met
In this life there will be trials and pain
There will be tears and shame
But there will be Jesus
With you day by day

Come, my sister, hear Him call you
Come see your Lord crucified
He has bought you, enter freely
Come and in Him abide
While there's time

Come, o people, night is falling
Now is your time to decide
Christ is holy, ever worthy
It was for you he died
In His time

Do you see the light of a life well spent
Feel the power of courage met
In this life there will be trials and pain
There will be tears and shame
But there will be Jesus
With you day by day
There will be Jesus
With you day by day
day by day

Calon Lân

I ask not for ease and riches
Nor earth's jewels for my part
But I have the best of wishes
For a pure and honest heart.

Oh, pure heart so true and tender
Fairer than the lilies white
The pure heart alone can render
Songs of joy both day and night.

Should I cherish earthly treasure
It would fly on speedy wings
The pure heart a plenteous measure
Of true pleasure daily brings.

Oh, pure heart so true and tender
Fairer than the lilies white
The pure heart alone can render
Songs of joy both day and night.

Eve and morn my prayers ascending
To God's heaven on wings of song
Seek the joy that knows no ending
The pure heart that knows no wrong.

Oh, pure heart so true and tender
Fairer than the lilies white
The pure heart alone can render
Songs of joy both day and night.

Nid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus
Aur y byd na'i berlau mân
Gofyn rwyf am calon hapus
Calon onest, calon lân.

Calon lân yn llawn daioni
Tecach yw na'r lili dlos
Does ond calon lân all ganu
Canu'r dydd a chanu'r nos.

Pe dymunwn olud bydol
Chwim adenydd iddo sydd
Golud calon lân rinweddol
Yn dwyn bythol elw fydd.

Calon lân yn llawn daioni
Tecach yw na'r lili dlos
Does ond calon lân all ganu
Canu'r dydd a chanu'r nos.

Hwyr a bore fy nymuniad
Esgyn ar adenydd cân
Ar i Dduw, er mwyn fy Ngheidwad
Roddi imi galon lân.

Calon lân yn llawn daioni
Tecach yw na'r lili dlos
Does ond calon lân all ganu
Canu'r dydd a chanu'r nos.
